Optometrist Dr. Nicole Mardak
Dr. Nicole Mardak, a Wisconsin native, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University in Milwaukee. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Mardak graduated with honors including membership in the Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
During her schooling, she completed clinical rotations at the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the Illinois Eye Institute, the Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired, the University of Melbourne Eye Care Clinic in Australia and locally at Georgia Eye Partners. It was during her final short-term internship in Georgia that she and her husband decided to make Atlanta their new home.
Dr. Mardak is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Georgia Optometric Association, the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association, and the Women’s Ophthalmic Association. Dr. Mardak enjoys biking, reading, watching movies, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and Marquette Golden Eagles and traveling with her husband.
Optometrist Dr. Heather Zutaut
Dr. Heather Zutaut, a native of West Virginia, earned a bachelor degree in Biology from
West Virginia University before earning a bachelor degree in Visual Science and ultimately her Doctorate of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
After graduating, she moved to Atlanta to pursue an additional year of training in ocular surgery and disease management at Atlanta Eye Surgery Group. Upon completion of the training, she was offered the opportunity to join the group as the staff optometrist and co-manage both surgical and non-surgical cases. This was the beginning of what has developed into over 20 years of practicing comprehensive optometry in the Atlanta area.
Dr. Zutaut is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. Outside of the office, Dr. Zutaut enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams, boating and traveling with her husband John and son, Ian.
